Sailing fun for ALL ages and levels!
Spring Sailing Class will be on Sundays from 1pm-4pm beginning on April 15 through June 3rd.
2018 LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE
All participants must have a 2018 Medical and Liability Release Form on file with the Sailing Director, Gale Pinckney. Please print and return before your sailors first day of class!
Application for Sponsored Jr. Sailor Guest
Applications must be filled out by a LIYC Member every year with an annual fee to be able to participate as a Sponsored Jr. Sailor Guest. Please contact Sailing Director, Gale Pinckney, liycsail@gmail, for an application.
Novice – NEW!! NO BOAT REQUIRED
This is an all-encompassing, fun-filled class for the first-time sailor. Students will learn sailing basics in the comfort of a boat with an instructor.
When: Sundays, 4/15, 4/29, 5/6, 5/20 & 6/3 | 1:00-4:00pm
Price: $250 before 4/1/18
Beginner Sabot: Pre C-3
Students will build confidence sailing independently in sabots. Instructors will put the “fun” into fundamentals, like rigging, points of sail, knots and sail trim. (No regattas)
When: Sundays, 4/15, 4/29, 5/6, 5/20 & 6/3 |1:00-4:00pm

Sabot Racing Classes
Sabot sailors (A, B, C1, C2, & C3)
ISAF Youth Worlds Laser Radial representative Joseph Hou will help advanced sailors get a leg up before the summer competition starts. This is a unique opportunity to train with one of the best! (Includes regatta coaching).
When: Sundays, April 15-June 3 | 1:00-4:00pm
Price: $450 before April 1; $550 on or after April 1
Individual Sessions: $65 (must register before April 1)
CFJ Racing Class
Beginner & intermediate racers will learn about the exciting world of double-handed sailing. Sailors will learn skipper & crew functions, boat handling, and prepare for summer and high school sailing.
When: Sundays, April 15-June 3 |1:00-4:00pm *Boats rigged and in the water, sailors ready by 1pm sharp!
Price: $550 before April 1; $600 on or after April 1
Parent & Me Sailing Class
Parents and children will enjoy learning together in a fun, relaxed, and safe environment. Instructors will teach boating safety using sailboats and paddle equipment.
Sundays: April 15- June 3 | 11:00-1:00pm (4 sailors must be registered to make a class!)
Price: $450 1 adult & 1 child (children 6+yrs); $500 1 adult & 2 children (children 6+yrs); $525 2 adults & 1 child (children 6+yrs); $550 2 adults & 2 children (children 6+yrs)
Investing in Sabots (Parent Seminar)
Learn what to look for when you shop for your child’s first sabot or when you’re upgrading to a racing sabot. Common problems and basic troubleshooting will also be covered. Guest speakers include Bob Yates and Mark Conzelman. Time/Date: TBD Price: $40
Powerboats & Seamanship Class
Whether it’s your first time at the helm or you’re looking to improve your skills on the water, this class is for you. We will cover terminology, rules of the water, docking, boat handling and so much more. We will tour the harbor and make sure everyone drives. Basic troubleshooting will also be covered. Participants must be at least 12 years of age at the time of the class. Anyone under 18 years old, must be accompanied by an adult. Time/Date: TBD Price: $60

- Fees are non-refundable after the program starts, no exceptions or prorating.
